Philadelphia was the nations capitol during most of the War for independence. It was thus also the location of the French embassy -- the only embassy in the U.S. during that war. Living historians portraying French General Rochambeau, Benjamin Frankiin, and General Washington spoke at a September event in Philadelphia, arranged by W3R®-PA chair Win Carroll.
