Upon arriving in Williamsburg VA General Washington was invited to meet
with Admiral de Grasse on his flagship, the Ville de Paris (City of Paris)
Washington brought seven other Continental generals with him.
The French fleet included thirty-four ships of the line,
each of which had over seventy cannon.
